Joy Zhouyu Wu is an Assistant Professor in the Accounting and Information Systems Division at the Sauder School of Business, University of British Columbia. She holds a BA in Economics from the University of Chicago and a PhD in Applied Economics and Management from Cornell University. Her research employs experimental economics methods to study individual behavior in digital economies.
Research Focus: Dr. Wu investigates behavioral aspects of data privacy, information markets, fairness perceptions, and platform strategies. Her work bridges economics and information systems to understand decision-making in digital contexts.
Recent Publications: Her forthcoming and accepted articles in Management Science and Journal of Political Economy Microeconomics explore monetization of personal data and inequality dynamics, demonstrating consistent focus on behavioral economics and digital market mechanisms.
