José Luis Lisani Roca

Dr. José Luis Lisani Roca serves as a Full Professor in the Department of Applied Mathematics within the School of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB). He joined UIB as an Assistant Professor in 1999 and has maintained continuous academic service through the 2025-26 academic year.

His academic credentials include an Electrical Engineering degree in Telecommunications (1995) and dual doctoral qualifications: a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Université Paris-Dauphine and a degree in Computer Sciences from UIB (2001). Fluent in English and French, he bridges mathematical theory with computational applications.

Dr. Lisani Roca's research centers on image and video processing, with significant applications in computer vision and digital signal analysis.
