Jostein Kjærandsen

Jostein Kjærandsen is a Professor at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, affiliated with Tromsø University Museum. His research focuses on insect diversity patterns, taxonomic frameworks, and the functional evolution of organs like genitalia and wings within Diptera, particularly Sciaroidea (fungus gnats).

• Research Interests: Taxonomy, biosystematics, DNA barcoding, molecular phylogeny, and biodiversity assessment of Diptera, especially Mycetophilidae and Keroplatidae.
