Josie A. Burks

Dr. Josie A. Burks is an Instructional Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Mississippi's School of Business Administration, Department of Management. She teaches courses in Entrepreneurial Pitching, Negotiation, and Business Communication, focusing on developing students' persuasive communication skills for corporate careers or entrepreneurial ventures.

Her research explores Entrepreneurial Pitching, Persuasion and Rhetoric, Narrative Building, and Legitimacy. She actively collaborates with entrepreneurs, economic development organizations, and executives to refine persuasive presentations for stakeholders.
