Joshua Rosett is the Curb Family Associate Professor of Business and Law and a George R. Roberts Fellow at the Robert Day School of Economics and Finance. He holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Chicago and M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton University. His research focuses on Accounting for Human Capital, Labor Relations, Intangible Assets Measurement, and Corporate Governance, with notable contributions to Financial Reporting and Firm Valuation. He has been recognized with the BSM Teacher Honor Roll (2002, Tulane University).
His research explores intersections between labor economics and corporate finance, including the impact of union contracts on equity risk, labor leverage in corporate policy, and the valuation implications of disclosure-derived financial adjustments. His work combines empirical analysis with theoretical frameworks, addressing macroeconomic variables’ influence on equity metrics and seasonal effects in art markets.
Award-winning educator, Rosett also examines public equity market dynamics and credit risk assessment through financial statement recasting. His interdisciplinary approach bridges accounting practices with broader economic phenomena, contributing to policy discussions on corporate governance and labor-market economics.
