Joshua Loughman is a systems engineer, climate and energy expert, and policy researcher affiliated with Arizona State University (ASU) through the College of Global Futures and School of Technology for Public Health. As a Principal Data Scientist for Decision Theater, he integrates modeling, simulation, and foresight methods into university education and public policy research. His roles include Graduate Certificate completion at ASU and Worcester Polytechnic Institute, with graduate-level teaching experience in data science, sustainability engineering, and community engagement projects.
Research Interests span climate science, renewable energy futures, resilience science, and decision-making under uncertainty. His work emphasizes sociotechnical systems, sustainability transformation, and ethical innovation. Publications highlight interdisciplinary approaches to energy policy, climate modeling, and solar technology integration.
