Jaleila (Jill) Brumand is an Instructor in the School of Sustainability at Arizona State University (ASU) and a Senior Global Futures Scientist affiliated with the Global Futures Scientists and Scholars program. She holds dual BS degrees in Sustainability and Geography from ASU (2013) and an MS in Energy and the Environment from Lancaster University (2014) as a Fulbright scholar.
Her research focuses on urban sustainability, environmental policy, and the intersection of energy systems with water conservation. Key areas include residential landscape management norms, institutional drivers in urban planning, and carbon inventory methodologies. Professionally, she serves as a Water Program and Policy Analyst for the City of Scottsdale, specializing in commercial water conservation and demand management.
