Joshua J. Cotton is an Instructor in the Department of History and Philosophy at Jackson State University (JSU), part of the College of Liberal Arts. He holds an M.A. (2009) and B.A. (2007) in History from JSU. His research focuses on Military History and Japanese Feudal History, with notable works including Excerpt from: WHEN COMPARED WITH THE LOWEST HEAVEN: Nagashino and The Sword of Heaven: The Role of European Firearms on the Development of Pre-Modern Japan.
