Joshua D. Cameron is the Director of Business Development & Research at NDTL (Notre Dame Turbomachinery Laboratory) at the University of Notre Dame. He holds a Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from Notre Dame (2007) and previously served as Assistant Research Professor in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering since 2008. His roles include managing advanced power and propulsion testing facilities, overseeing seven test cells, and guiding NDTL’s strategic growth.

Research & Operations: Focuses on advancing propulsion and power systems through facility development (e.g., Ignition Park, downtown South Bend facility) and managing annual research expenditures. Expertise spans testing technologies, fluid dynamics, and infrastructure optimization.
Labs & Teams: Oversees NDTL’s campus facilities and collaborates with industry and academia on propulsion testing. Leads teams managing both on-campus and off-campus testing infrastructure.
