Joshua Conrad Jackson is an Assistant Professor at the Booth School of Business, where he teaches negotiation strategies and processes within the Behavioral Science department. His research explores the co-evolution of culture and psychology, focusing on how historical dynamics like migration, warfare, and urbanization have shaped human emotion, moral psychology, and religion, while contemporary trends such as algorithms, climate change, and economic inequality continue to influence beliefs and prejudices.

Joshua’s work bridges cultural evolution with public policy, analyzing phenomena like the surge in political leader support during the COVID-19 pandemic, the rise of populist leaders in 21st-century Europe, and the role of social media algorithms in polarization and misinformation. His research has appeared in top-tier journals such as Science, Nature Human Behavior, and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, as well as public outlets like the Huffington Post and Scientific American.
