Joshua Chatraw is an Associate Professor of Divinity and the Billy Graham Chair for Evangelism and Cultural Engagement at Beeson Divinity School, Samford University. His work bridges public theology, apologetics, and cultural engagement, with a focus on equipping Christian leaders for modern challenges.

Chatraw’s research spans apologetics, evangelism, and cultural engagement. He has authored/co-authored foundational texts like The Augustine Way, Telling a Better Story, and Cultural Engagement, emphasizing the role of Christian narrative in societal discourse.
His scholarly contributions have earned recognition, including Christianity Today’s Evangelism and Apologetics Book of the Year, Outreach Magazine Resource of the Year in Apologetics, and The Gospel Coalition’s Book of the Year in Apologetics and Evangelism.
Chatraw is an inaugural fellow at The Timothy Keller Center for Cultural Apologetics and a senior fellow at The Center for Pastor Theologians. Previously, he served as executive director of the Center for Public Christianity and founding director of the Center for Apologetics and Cultural Engagement at Liberty University, where he was also an associate professor.
