Joshua Carpenter is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at The University of Akron, part of the College of Engineering and Polymer Science. He specializes in advancing forest management and conservation through remote sensing and 3D scanning technologies. His research includes 3D modeling of root and tree structures and biodiversity monitoring in the Amazon rainforest.
