Joshua Andrews is a Lecturer in Asian Religions and Director of Student Engagement at Bangor University’s School of History, Law and Social Sciences. His expertise spans Hinduism, Buddhism, and existentialist philosophy, with a focus on gender and sexuality in religious contexts.
Education: PhD exploring Kierkegaard and Buddhist philosophy.
Research Interests: Joshua analyzes intersections of religion, gender, and sexuality. Current projects investigate ethical responses to environmental crises and human rights in Asian religious traditions.
Teaching: Develops modules on Buddhism/Hinduism, existentialism, ethics, and religious education. Employs innovative assessments like think tanks and podcasts. Also teaches on the PGCE Secondary program.

Leadership: Co-chairs the National Centre for Religious Education in Wales.
