Josh Ramsey is a Professor at Oklahoma State University in the School of Chemical Engineering. With a ORCID: 0000-0002-5872-5595 and Professional Engineer certification since 2015, he focuses on macromolecular delivery, enzyme engineering, and biomaterials design. His work spans three decades of scientific research with over 200 citations.
- Ph.D., Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering, University of Illinois (2006)
- M.S., Chemical Engineering, University of Illinois (2003)
- B.S., Chemical Engineering, Oklahoma State University (2000)
Research interests include gene therapy vectors, protein delivery systems, and computational drug screening. His NSF-funded group develops hybrid viral/synthetic gene delivery platforms while exploring PEG-lysine copolymer systems for cancer treatments and neural network-based drug prediction models. Recent work demonstrates zwitterionic nanoparticle stability and millifluidic synthesis methods.
Scientific achievements include
- PhRMA Foundation Fellowship (2007)
- NSF Career Grant
- NIH Grant
- OCAST/OCAS funding
Teaching portfolio features Chemical Engineering Design courses (I & II), Doctoral Thesis supervision, and Professional Practice instruction. His 150+ publications explore biopolymeric sensors, engineered hydrogels, and directed evolution techniques.
