Josephine Hawke, PhD, is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Public Policy at the University of Connecticut and serves as Lead Research and Evaluator at the Governor’s Prevention Partnership in Connecticut. Her work focuses on evaluating youth and family services, trauma-informed approaches, and data-driven decision-making frameworks.
With over 30 years of experience across nonprofit and academic sectors, Dr. Hawke specializes in program development, trauma-responsive programming, and training for youth professionals. She has authored over 35 publications, toolkits, and resource guides addressing psychological trauma and substance use in juvenile justice and child welfare contexts.
Dr. Hawke holds a PhD and has led federal grants evaluating trauma-informed services. Her Hartford Campus-based role combines academic engagement with applied research to improve outcomes for at-risk youth and families.
