Joseph Yockey holds the F. Arnold Daum Chair in Corporate Law as a Professor at the University of Iowa College of Law, where he teaches corporate law, artificial intelligence, compliance, social enterprise, and higher education. His teaching excellence earned him the law school's Teacher of the Year award in 2012 and 2023, plus the university-wide President and Provost Award for Teaching Excellence in 2022.
His educational background includes a BA from the University of Kansas (2000) and a JD summa cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law (2004), where he served as Articles Editor for the University of Illinois Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Coif.
Professor Yockey's research spans corporate governance, AI applications in legal compliance, social enterprise frameworks, and higher education policy. As co-editor of the Cambridge Handbook of Social Enterprise Law, his scholarship appears in leading law journals with emphasis on practical regulatory solutions.
His major recognitions include:
