Joseph Trainor is the Interim Dean and Professor at the Joseph R. Biden, Jr. School of Public Policy and Administration, University of Delaware. He is a core faculty member of the Disaster Research Center, renowned for expertise in Disaster Science and Emergency Management. His research integrates behavioral and organizational dimensions of disasters, focusing on risk perception, warnings, equity, and policy integration. Trainor holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Delaware (2009), with earlier degrees from the same institution and Millersville University.
