Dr. Joseph Pisani is an Adjunct Professor at Marymount University since 2021, serving as a Lead Doctoral Faculty Mentor. He has over 28 years of experience in P-12 public education, including 18 years as a secondary administrator and 15 years as a high school principal in New York and Virginia. Previously, he held roles as Senior Dissertation Chair at Grand Canyon University and Liberty University, where he also taught as Adjunct Faculty.

Dr. Pisani’s research focuses on student transition challenges between middle school and high school, alongside leadership development methodologies. He is currently authoring a book on shared leadership and the value of stakeholder voice in educational settings.
He is actively involved in professional organizations, including the Virginia Association of Secondary School Principals (VASSP) and the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP).
