Joseph Paul Tabbi is a Professor in the Department of Foreign Languages at the University of Bergen, Norway. His work bridges literary scholarship and digital humanities, focusing on electronic literature, posthumanism, and networked systems. He co-founded the Electronic Book Review and contributes to the Electronic Literature Research Group at UIB.
Research interests include the intersection of cognition and narrative, postmodern aesthetics, and the global distribution of literary works through digital media. His publications chart the evolution of electronic literature from early digital experiments to contemporary post-digital practices, emphasizing resilience and interdisciplinary collaboration.
