Joe's research explores how we define performance space in an unstable or degenerative organic world, with works including Covid Confessions: Compartments, Still Life: Commodifying Erosion, and What She Burned, an immersive experience sharing Eastern European folklore obscured by natural erosion on aging radiological material. His work investigates the relationship between environments and storytelling, examining how climate composition shapes our interactions with storytellers.
His recent theatrical productions span diverse genres from classical adaptations to contemporary experimental works, demonstrating his versatility across musical theater, immersive experiences, and traditional stage productions. These works collectively explore themes of environmental change, cultural memory, and the evolving nature of performance spaces.
