Joseph Osuji (PhD, RN) is the Director of the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Mount Royal University since August 2024. He previously served as a faculty member at the School for over two decades. Currently, he is also a Visiting Scholar at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Dr. Osuji's research addresses critical nursing and healthcare issues, including:
- Social determinants of health affecting marginalized populations
- Solutions to homelessness and poverty
- Advancing equity and social justice in healthcare systems
- Application of soft computing and informatics in nursing practice
- Optimizing teaching/learning processes in nursing education
- Strategies to reduce nursing workforce turnover
He has led program development/accreditation efforts across Canada, Nigeria, and internationally. His service includes leadership roles in NGOs, editorial board memberships, and board directorships.
