Joseph Odion Okezi serves as an Assistant Professor - Part-Time in the French and Francophone Studies program within the School of Modern Languages and Literatures at Rhodes University. With over a decade of experience in academic teaching, he specializes in French language instruction, literature, and Francophone studies, preparing students for international examinations like DELF/DALF and promoting French-English bilingualism at high school levels.
His academic credentials include:
- B.A. (Hons) in French from the University of Ilorin
- DALF C2 (Advanced Diploma in French) awarded in France
- M.A. in French from the University of Lagos
- M.A. in Modern Language with French Specialization from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville
Professor Okezi's scholarly work focuses on French literary analysis spanning the 17th through 20th centuries, with significant contributions to understanding political discourse, digital humanities applications, gender dynamics, and social justice themes in literature. His expertise in literary criticism has earned recognition for excellence in this specialized field.
