Joseph Hilton is a Research Fellow at the Manchester Centre for Health Economics (MCHE) within the University of Manchester, specializing in mathematical modelling applied to human health dynamics. He has previously been affiliated with the Institute of Infection, Veterinary and Ecological Sciences at the University of Liverpool and the Zeeman Institute for Systems Biology & Infectious Disease Epidemiology Research at the University of Warwick.
- Doctor of Philosophy (PhD), Stochastic Models of Infectious Disease in Heterogeneous Populations, University of Warwick (Awarded: 8 Jan 2020)
- Master in Science, University of Warwick (Awarded: 20 Jan 2016)
- Master of Mathematics, University of Warwick (Awarded: 18 Jul 2014)
His research focuses on integrating biological, social, and ecological processes through interdisciplinary science. Key areas of expertise include health economics, infectious disease epidemiology, and the development of mathematical methods for public health policy. He utilizes computational approaches, statistics, and stochastic processes to analyze health dynamics and inform mitigation strategies.
Joseph has been recognized with an external appointment as an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Liverpool for the period April 1, 2024, to March 31, 2026.
