Joseph Hammer

Joseph Hammer, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Director of Training in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of Kentucky's College of Education. He earned his PhD from Iowa State University in 2015. His research focuses on improving healthcare access through understanding help-seeking behaviors and culturally-sensitive measurement, particularly through his HAMMER Lab. He teaches courses in Counseling Theories, Techniques, and Practicum and is a Licensed Psychologist using integrative approaches like ACT, CBT, and EFT.
