Joseph Biggerstaff is a doctoral candidate at the Bonn Center for Dependency and Slavery Studies (BCDSS) at the University of Bonn, Germany. As a research assistant (wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter) for the early modern history team, his work intersects with themes of gender, sexuality, and dependency in global historical contexts.
