Joseph Babcock

Joseph Babcock is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of English at the University of San Diego (USD), where he has been since 2019. Previously, he served as a lecturer in the College Writing Program at the University of California San Diego. He holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Montana (2014) and has taught writing and literature at universities in Vietnam.

His research and creative work focus on creative nonfiction, artificial intelligence's impact on writing, and crisis reporting. His writings have appeared in The New York Times and The Daily Beast. He is currently developing a book project exploring AI and the future of writing.
