Joseph Adolphe is a Professor in the Art Department at St. John’s University, affiliated with the St. John's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. He holds an MFA from the School of Visual Arts (1994) and a B.F.A. from the Alberta College of Art & Design, Canada. Before joining St. John’s, he taught at The Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore, MD, and was promoted to Professor in 2010. His work focuses on painting and illustration, with over forty exhibitions since 1998 across the U.S. and internationally. Notable solo exhibitions include 'Toro Bravo' (2012) at Bertrand Delacroix Gallery and 'Affinities' (2009) at Kehler Liddell Gallery. He currently resides in New Haven, CT.
