Josef Kainz

Prof. Dr. Josef Kainz is a Professor of Energy Technology at TUM Campus Straubing for Biotechnology and Sustainability. He leads the Energy Technology (ENT) professorship, focusing on energy storage, modeling/simulation, and control strategies. His career spans academic research and industry roles at Siemens and Continental. He holds a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics from the University of Regensburg (2004) and has been with TUM since its Campus Straubing inception.
