Joseba Doistua Nebreda

Joseba Doistua Nebreda is an Associate Professor at the University of Deusto's Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, where he serves as Director of DeustoBide (adult education programs) and Director of Area 2 within the Department of Social and Human Sciences. He holds a PhD in Leisure and Human Potential from the University of Deusto, along with a Master's in Leisure Management (cultural specialization) and a degree in History. His academic credentials have been positively evaluated by the Agency for Quality Assessment and Accreditation of the Basque University System (UNIQUAL) both as a professor at a private university and an associate professor at a public university.

Dr. Doistua Nebreda's research centers on Leisure Studies as a multidisciplinary field intersecting with human development, social transformation, aging, and disability. His work examines how leisure activities contribute to quality of life across different demographic groups, particularly focusing on seniors in university programs, youth development through nature-based leisure, and inclusive leisure practices for people with disabilities.
