Jose Manuel Miranda Lopez

Jose Manuel Miranda Lopez is a Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Santiago de Compostela, with a focus on the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Nutrition and Bromatology. His research aligns with the Strategic Grouping in Sustainable Management and Production of Bioresources (BioReDes) and the LHICA-USC research group for Food Hygiene, Inspection, and Control.

He earned his Doctorate from the University of Santiago de Compostela in 2007, defending a thesis on Antimicrobial treatments in veterinary medicine, effects on the intestinal microbiota of chickens and their impact on conventional and organically produced meats. His doctoral advisors included Dr. Alberto Cepeda Sáez, Dr. Carlos Manuel Franco Abuín, and Dr. Beatriz Isabel Vázquez Belda.
