José Luis Girela López is a Professor at the Department of Biotechnology, University of Alicante. He has held this position since 2006 after completing doctoral courses in Health Sciences Biotechnology with a Quality Mention. His teaching spans undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Biology, Nursing, Human Nutrition, and Reproductive Medicine.

His research focuses on reproductive biology and cell biology, with over 50 scientific communications at conferences. He has held academic management roles such as Secretary of the Biotechnology Department and currently coordinates the first semester of the fourth year in Biology undergraduate commissions.
