Dr. Jos Hoevenaars is a Postdoc researcher at the Erasmus School of Law and editorial manager of Erasmus Law Review. He holds a PhD in sociology from Radboud University (2018) and specializes in qualitative empirical research on access to justice. His work focuses on collective litigation, third-party litigation funding, and legal ethics. He has led projects for the Dutch Ministry's Research and Data Centre (WODC), including evaluations of the Mass Damage Settlement in Collective Action Act (WAMCA) and studies on Alternative Business Structures (ABS) for lawyers. Recent research includes mapping third-party financing (TPLF) for collective actions across Europe and advocating for litigation fund models in the Netherlands.
