Eva Storskrubb

Eva Storskrubb serves as Associate Professor and Senior Lecturer in Procedural Law at Uppsala University's Faculty of Law, Department of Law. Appointed full-time in 2021 after six years as part-time researcher (2016-2021), she brings practical legal experience from law firms across Sweden, Finland, and England, plus internships at the Court of Justice of the European Union and European Commission.

Her research centers on civil procedural law with specialized expertise in EU procedural law, international dispute resolution, and arbitration. She investigates how EU integration transforms national justice systems, particularly regarding mutual trust mechanisms, third-party funding, and digital court innovations. Her work critically examines marketization pressures on access to justice while analyzing constitutional boundaries of EU civil justice expansion.

Recent publications reveal intensifying focus on justice funding economics and digital transformation of courts, alongside persistent examination of arbitration law's interface with EU regulations. These works span civil justice reform, transnational litigation funding, and Nordic adaptation to EU procedural harmonization.

Her scientific recognition includes:

• Marie Curie Fellowship (2014-2016) – Sweden's first in law

She supervises Master's theses in Investment Law while teaching Semester Courses 4/6 and specialized courses including EU Commercial Law and Civil Litigation. Her research leadership includes the RECLAIM project (2014-2016) on mutual recognition legitimacy and Ragnar Söderberg Foundation-funded research on European bank attachment (2016-2021).

As lead author for the European Commission's Justice and Consumers Evaluation Consortium (2024), she coordinates cross-border analysis of litigation funding while contributing to policy-shaping forums like the 2022 Erasmus University Rotterdam conference on third-party funding regulation.
