Jorie Butler, Ph.D., is an Adjunct Professor in Developmental Psychology and Health Psychology at the University of Utah, affiliated with the School of Medicine and the Department of Psychology. She holds roles at the Division of Geriatrics, Salt Lake City VA Health Care System, Geriatric Research and Clinical Center (GRECC), and the Informatics Decision Enhancement and Surveillance (IDEAS) Center. Her research focuses on communication in healthcare, shared decision-making, and patient-centered care, particularly for aging populations. She has secured funding as Principal Investigator from the Veterans Health Administration’s Health Services Research and Development (HSR&D) and Office of Rural Health (ORH).
