Dr Jordan Sawyers is a Lecturer in Oral Health Therapy at Charles Sturt University’s School of Dentistry and Medical Sciences. She graduated with a Bachelor of Dental Science (BDSc) and a BSc (Hons) from CSU, followed by Graduate Certificates in Learning & Teaching in Higher Education and Wiradjuri Language, Culture and Heritage. With teaching experience since 2016, Jordan coordinates final-year clinical theory and practice subjects in the Bachelor of Oral Health degree, spanning Wagga Wagga and Holmesglen, Melbourne.
Her research focuses on dental education, sustainability in dental practice, and Indigenous Australians’ oral health. She completed her Honours thesis on the impact of repeated use of impression copings and scanbodies on implant cast accuracy, presenting findings at the International Association for Dental Research General Session in 2017. Jordan is a member of the Australian Dental Association and the International Association for Dental Research.

Her 2019 peer-reviewed article in the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Implants explored implantology and digital dentistry methods. Research metrics include an h-index of 15 and 15 citations (Scopus), with a focus on improving clinical practices through technological advancements.
