Jordan Patik, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor at the University of Oklahoma in the Department of Health and Exercise Science. His research focuses on cardiovascular physiology, particularly macrovascular and microvascular function, arterial stiffness, and the relationship between cardiac and vascular systems during exercise and disease states.
- B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Wyoming
- M.S. in Kinesiology-Exercise Physiology from the University of Texas at Austin
- Ph.D. in Kinesiology-Integrative and Applied Physiology from the University of Texas at Arlington
Dr. Patik investigates how obesity and insulin resistance affect vascular and cardiac function, with an emphasis on blood pressure regulation. His work spans both acute and chronic adaptations to exercise, aiming to improve cardiovascular health through physiological interventions.
