Dr. Jordan Gacutan is a Senior Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales (UNSW), based in the Sustainable Development Reform Hub within the School of Global & Public Law. His interdisciplinary research focuses on bridging science and policy through natural capital accounting, citizen science applications for environmental policy, and strengthening ocean governance frameworks. Key areas include using international accounting standards to measure environmental assets, leveraging citizen science to address plastic pollution, and integrating data streams for marine spatial planning.
