Dr. Jordan Cissell is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Sociology at Samford University's Howard College of Arts and Sciences. His research integrates field observations, remote sensing, and GIS to study human-environment interactions in coastal and marine landscapes across Central America, the Caribbean, and Romania. Affiliated with institutions like the Smithsonian Institution, NASA, and the National Park Service, he focuses on mangrove ecosystems, coastal conservation, and environmental monitoring.
