Joran Geeraerts is a doctoral researcher at the End-of-Life Care Research Group of Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), focusing on adapting Experience Sampling Methods (ESM) for advanced cancer patients to study daily experiences. He previously completed a full-time internship at KU Leuven's Research Group of Quantitative Psychology and Individual Differences, where he explored data quality and careless responding in ESM contexts.
His research interests include patient experience monitoring, symptom and emotion tracking in palliative care, and methodological advancements in longitudinal studies. He specializes in developing and validating ESM questionnaires tailored for vulnerable populations.
