معرفی
Joon Sung Park is an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Pharmacology at the Yale School of Medicine, Yale University. He holds a PhD in Pharmacy from Seoul National University (2019). His research focuses on structural biology, enzymology, and drug discovery, with a particular emphasis on protein structure-function relationships and enzyme mechanisms.
His work spans diverse areas including the N-degron pathway, antimalarial drug design, protein engineering for drug targeting, and molecular mechanisms of cancer progression. Key projects include structural analyses of enzymes like glutamine amidohydrolase 1 and asparagine tRNA synthetase, as well as de novo protein design strategies.
Recent publications highlight advancements in understanding protein degradation pathways and developing novel inhibitors for pathogenic targets. His studies also explore anti-inflammatory agents and the structural basis of protein-RNA interactions.
Park's research integrates computational methods with experimental approaches, contributing to both fundamental biology and translational medicine. He is affiliated with Yale's Pharmacology department and actively publishes in high-impact journals such as Protein Science and Nature Communications.
