Dr. Joo Young Jeon is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Reading, UK. His research focuses on Behavioral and Experimental Economics, Industrial Organization, and Public Economics, with particular attention to topics such as social preference, conflict behavior, anti-trust policies, and consumer behavior. He has conducted experimental studies analyzing gender differences in economic decision-making, dishonest behavior, and the impact of social cues on behavior. His work bridges theoretical frameworks with empirical analysis, often using field or laboratory experiments combined with advanced econometric techniques.
Dr. Jeon’s research has explored diverse areas including military expenditure’s economic impacts, energy supplier switching dynamics, and property rights in contests.
