Jonna Vuoskoski is a professor at the University of Oslo, holding a dual position in the Department of Musicology and the Department of Psychology (50/50 split). She leads the Interaction & Pleasure research cluster at the RITMO Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies in Rhythm, Time and Motion. Her research focuses on music cognition, emotion, social bonding, and entrainment. She earned her doctorate from the University of Jyväskylä (2012) and held a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Oxford (2012–2017). Notable projects include studies on music-induced sadness, crossmodal perception in performance, and the role of empathy in musical engagement.
