Jongwan Kwon is an Assistant Teaching Professor at the Department of Architecture, Carnegie Mellon University. He previously held academic roles at Kansas State University (2021-23) and Rhode Island School of Design (RISD, 2017-21), where he coordinated graduate studios and was nominated for the Frazier Teaching Award. His research and teaching focus on material culture, infrastructure, and regional sustainability, addressing climate challenges through architectural innovation.
