Dr Jonathan Waddington is a Lecturer in Psychology at Plymouth Marjon University's School of Health & Wellbeing, with Fellowship status from the Higher Education Academy. He specializes in translational neuropsychology, focusing on improving outcomes for individuals with visual or visuocognitive difficulties caused by brain injury or neurodivergence. His work includes developing the perceptual training game Eyelander and evaluating habilitation programs for cerebral vision impairments. He serves as Postgraduate Research Co-ordinator for Health and Wellbeing and is an ethics panel member at Marjon.

Dr Waddington also advises at InFocus Charity, training educators and healthcare staff to support visually impaired young people. His awards include HEA Fellowship, and he has supervised one MRes student to completion.
