Dr. Jonathan Vitale is a Research Fellow at Macquarie University's Australian Institute of Health Innovation, Centre for Health Informatics. He holds a PhD in Computer Science and IT from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS), with prior degrees from the University of Milan. His research focuses on human-machine interaction, cognitive science, and AI, particularly in social robotics and trust models. He led the UTS RoboCup@Home team to a championship in 2019 and has advised on projects like the Fujitsu Macquarie AI Research Lab. Vitale also teaches at UTS and the University of New England, emphasizing design thinking and human-centric technology.
