Jonathan Tyrrell is a Teaching Professor at The Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, where he directs design studios in the Design for Performance & Interaction and Design for Manufacture programmes. As Director of Exhibitions, he oversees all school degree shows and external exhibitions. He previously served as Adjunct Professor at the University of Waterloo School of Architecture (Canada) for seven years.

His research explores the intersection of sound, matter, and the politics of listening. Professional expertise includes interactive system design, digital fabrication, and component design developed through award-winning installations exhibited globally. His specialization spans performance-based architecture, material innovation, and experiential environments.
