Jonathan Taylor

Jonathan Taylor is a Researcher at the Centre for Atmospheric Science, specializing in aerosol-cloud interactions. His work focuses on understanding how aerosols influence cloud formation and climate processes, with a particular emphasis on biomass burning, black carbon, and marine aerosols. He completed his PhD in 2013, analyzing black carbon optical properties and soot mixing states using the single-particle soot photometer. His recent field projects include studies in Cape Verde, southern West Africa, and the south Atlantic Ocean, investigating pollution and Saharan dust impacts on stratocumulus and convective clouds.
