Dr. Jonathan Strand is a Professor of Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy, Religious Studies, and Classics within the Faculty of Arts at Concordia University of Edmonton. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame and has held significant administrative roles including Chair of the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Dean of Undergraduate Studies, and Dean of Arts and Science.
His academic interests focus on formal logic, scientific reasoning applied to religious questions, and the ethical dimensions of religious belief. He has taught courses such as Introduction to Logic, Philosophy of Mind, and Epistemology.
