Jonathan Scott Enderle was a Lecturer in Digital Humanities in the Department of English at the University of Pennsylvania and served as Digital Humanities Specialist at Penn Libraries and the Price Lab, funded by the Mellon Foundation. He held a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania (2011), specializing in 18th-century British literature and the history of copyright law. Prior to his return to Penn, he was an Assistant Professor of English at Skidmore College.

As an educator, he taught courses like *Data Science for History and Literature* and mentored undergraduates in DH research, emphasizing hands-on technical skills and collaborative projects.
His work in digital humanities emphasized scaling textual analysis and democratizing access to computational methods for humanities scholars. He passed away on September 11, 2021, leaving a legacy in both scholarship and pedagogy.
