Jonathan Rogers

Jonathan Rogers serves as an Associate Professor in the Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology's College of Engineering. He joined Georgia Tech in Fall 2013 after previously holding an Assistant Professor position in Aerospace Engineering at Texas A&M University from 2011 to 2013. His office is located in the MRDC Building, Room 4503, and he maintains affiliation with the Institute for Robotics and Intelligent Machines (IRI) as Core Faculty in Robotics.

His research centers on Autonomous Systems, with significant contributions across Robotics, Automation, and Mechatronics. Specialized expertise includes Applied Dynamics, Computational Automation, and advanced methodologies in Nonlinear Control and Estimation. His work develops computational frameworks for autonomous operation in complex environments, emphasizing robust control strategies for robotic systems.

Dr. Rogers maintains active industry connections through IRI's Robotics consortium while directing research in the Woodruff School's mechanical engineering facilities. His interdisciplinary approach bridges theoretical control systems with practical robotic implementations.
